The company, which was sold in December 2007, provided computer-based solutions to help people with disabilities lead more independent lives.
- Wrote HTML, CSS and JavaScript for technical support pages.
- Created custom software tools for customers to help with such things as printing, CD playing and tracking application use patterns.
- Developed an expertise in assistive technologies, computer access and control.
- Supported major applications for users with severe speech impairments.
- Provided and documented telephone and email support for five current and three legacy speech-generating devices that use Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh operating systems.

- Mastered a suite of text-to-speech and automatic speech-recognition programming APIs, and provided telephone and email support by debugging customers' code, clarifying parts of the APIs, and writing sample code.
- Conducted two- and three-day training sessions, helping developers get jump-started on their applications.
- Became an adept C and C++ programmer, working in both Visual Studio with the Win32 APIs, and with the GNU compiler tools in Linux and Solaris.
